How many sessions do i need?

The number of sessions needed depends on the scope of the task at hand. In the fastest case, a problem can be satisfactorily resolved in 2 hours.

On average, a support over several weeks with 5-15 sessions and “homework” can be assumed for clarifying and changing larger problem areas, classic EMDR processes or larger changes through hypnosis.

I tailor the support to your needs and support you as often or as long as you wish.

What does a therapy look like?

The process of therapy can vary depending on the method being used.

In general, the therapist will begin by listening to your concerns and asking about your current situation and past experiences related to the issue.

In individual therapy or counselling, we work together to develop a treatment strategy based on your unique needs. We implement solutions in therapy sessions and as homework, checking in regularly to ensure progress is being made.

In the feeding-your-demons process, the initial anamnesis is shorter because the main work is done by you and your creative subconscious. The process typically takes 90 minutes, although more experienced individuals may complete it more quickly. Some problem areas may require multiple sessions, while smaller, concrete problems may be resolved in just one session. The FYD process can be extended to find more creative solutions or continued work at home, such as creating a visual representation of insights gained during the process.

EMDR processes follow a scientifically standardized procedure. The number of sessions needed for the EMDR process varies from person to person and depends on the nature of the trauma and your individual needs. In some cases, there may be only one EMDR session that makes significant progress in processing the trauma. In other cases, however, it may be necessary to have multiple sessions to achieve full processing of the trauma.
Typically, EMDR treatment takes about 8-12 sessions, and each session lasts about 60-90 minutes. But please note that this is only an average and the actual number of sessions may vary from person to person. I will discuss the number of sessions with you individually and address your specific needs and progress. We will work together on your individual treatment plan to ensure that we get the most out of EMDR treatment.

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that aims to use your subconscious mind to change certain behaviors or beliefs. Here is a possible process for a hypnotherapy session:

  1. Intake: At the beginning of hypnotherapy, we will get to know each other and discuss your symptoms, issues, and goals. This will help us create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.
  2. Relaxation: In hypnotherapy, the goal is to enter a state of deep relaxation. We will learn a relaxation technique together that will allow you to quiet your thoughts and focus on your inner world.
  3. Induction: Once you are in a state of deep relaxation, I will guide you through an induction to enter a state of hypnosis. This is a natural state of attention and concentration in which you are relaxed and open to suggestions.
  4. Suggestions: In this state, you can access deeper levels of your subconscious mind. I will give you positive suggestions that are tailored to your specific needs and goals. These suggestions can help you change behaviors or overcome blocks.
  5. Integration: After the hypnosis, we will take time to talk about your experience and integrate the insights gained during the hypnosis. This is an opportunity to answer your questions and ensure that you got the most out of the session.

It is important to note that hypnotherapy is highly individualized and can be tailored to the needs of the client and the nature of the problem. Therefore, the number of sessions required may vary. I will work with you to ensure that we get the most out of hypnotherapy and achieve your goals.

Relaxation and Meditation Techniques

During therapy, I may introduce relaxation and meditation techniques as a tool to help you manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges. Together, we will practice these techniques in a session, and I may also provide audio files for you to use at home. Additionally, I will be available to answer any questions or concerns that arise as you continue to use these techniques outside of our sessions.

Does health insurance cover the costs?

In general, the costs of a therapy with a naturopathic practitioner are not covered by health insurance. However, some private health insurances may cover a part of the costs. Therefore, I recommend that you check with your insurance provider to see if they cover alternative therapies.

Even if the costs are not covered, investing in your mental and emotional well-being is a worthwhile and valuable investment in yourself.

You are worth it!

What are the costs if I have to cancel an appointment?

Please inform me as early as possible if you need to cancel an appointment.

If you cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment, you will not be charged. If you cancel the appointment later or do not show up, I will charge you a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed upon fee.

I ask for your understanding that in this case I had reserved my prepared time and practice room for you.
